About Megan
Megan is an award-winning journalist with a focus on technology, startups, venture capital, finance, healthcare, and climate science. Her reporting about the unraveling of Zume Pizza, a well-funded, Silicon Valley startup that promised to revolutionize the food industry with pizza-baking robots — and fizzled after a string of missteps, earned her an Excellence in Journalism award for Technology Reporting from the Society of Professional Journalists, Northern California.
Megan was most recently a founding co-author on Axios Pro: Climate Deals, a daily premium newsletter that reported on financing news in climate technology. She previously covered healthcare startups at Business Insider as a founding reporter for its subscription vertical. Prior to journalism, Megan ran communications for an e-commerce startup, a cryptocurrency company, and supported communications efforts for a national conservation non-profit.
She holds a degree in Journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and Integrated Marketing Communications. She is an avid hiker, camper, and rock climber. She lives in Joshua Tree, California, with her partner and two rescue dogs.
